Lots of fresh snow, just how we love it!
Official new snowfall numbers are patchy this morning (see below) but it sure sounds like there has been a ton of fresh snow on upper mountain. [** Updated]
Japan Meteorological Agency reports 37cm over the last 24 hours, and my own measurement is 40cm. We got most of that from late afternoon through early morning.
It's still snowing this morning, lightly for now, and forecasts generally indicate it to be easing off this morning. The clouds might even part to give us some sun.
Fresh snowfall since yesterday [daytime + overnight] (as reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 22cm + 72cm
Uenotaira: 13cm + 34cm
Hikage: ?cm + 35cm
Nagasaka: 6cm + 30cm
Karasawa: 2cm + 30cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 305cm
Uenotaira: 240cm
Hikage: 170cm
Nagasaka: 160cm
Karasawa: 130cm
Lifts:
All scheduled lifts are operating as planned
The Utopia pair lift and Challenge pair lift are normally closed on weekdays

All courses are available apart Mukobayashi and Grand Prix
