Snowfall at base this season 94cm

Posted on Monday 16th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Nozawa.

And we are back to snow. Not a huge amount - the ski area reporting 15cm from top Yamabiko, and me and JMA are agreeing on just a bit over 5cm overnight. But it's steady and there's more forecast.

It seems the ski area is waiting to open up more terrain... perhaps until next weekend? There will be more people around by then as Christmas approaches and more snow too, so I suppose that makes sense.

Anyway, let the snow continue!
