Snowfall at base this season 765cm
Posted on Thursday 13th February 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
I have to be quick this morning. But basically it is snowy (think wet more than light and fluffy) and windy. Should be getting colder during the day (already has since an hour ago).
The following lifts appear to be closed this morning:
Both gondolas
Yamabiko quad
Skyline connecting pair
Uenotaira quad
Paradise quad
So, basically, the upper section of the ski area.
This snow isn't due to last long and tomorrow should be calmer... weekend too.
Fresh snowfall since yesterday afternoon (as reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 5cm
Uenotaira: 2cm
Hikage: 10cm
Nagasaka: 10cm
Karasawa: 3cm
Official snow depth numbers (reported by the ski area):
Yamabiko: 375cm
Uenotaira: 330cm
Hikage: 290cm
Nagasaka: 280cm
Karasawa: 220cm
Lifts:
The Utopia pair lift and Challenge pair lift are normally closed on weekdays
