Independent snow and weather reporting from the Nozawa Onsen region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 15cm
Snowfall at base this season 58cm
Posted on Thursday 12th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Nozawa Now report can be found here.
The ski area has reported 22-27cm of snowfall up on the top area since yesterday morning, and I have another 15cm to add from base. This very respectable showing for December continues, as does the outlook for regular snow on the various forecasts too. Exciting times!
I can't find any announcements to report yet, but I think there is probably a good chance of some more lifts and terrain opening up at the weekend - particularly if we get more snow by then (which we are expecting).
