We sure got a lot of rain over the weekend. Really heavy rain falling through into the middle of Sunday and I can't imagine it has done any favours for the snow conditions and hearing of some slides on the mountain as well.

Wet sleet/snow was falling earlier on this morning and now a little later it snowing. Still wet though, but definitely colder than it has been. Strong winds are persisting today with basically most of the ski lifts closed at the resort areas that remain open for the season. Niseko Annupuri has been closed completely while just a few lower lifts at Grand Hirafu. All very limited.

So from today it is just those two areas with Niseko Village taking a break until 27th April, when they will re-open for Golden Week, and Niseko Hanazono who have closed for the season.

Tomorrow should be slightly warmer with a mix of cloud and the chance of light sleet/snow from time to time.

Planned resort operations

Niseko Hanazono - closed for the season

Niseko Village - currently closed but will re-open between 27th April and 6th May

Niseko Annupuri - until Monday 6th May

Niseko Grand Hirafu - until Monday 6th May
