Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido
New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 878cm
Morning from Niseko.
It is cloudy and windy with spots of rain this morning (though that isn't expected to last).
While I can't find any specific 'announcement', I can't see lifts opening as normal this morning. They are showing as 'on hold' on the official site.
Later tomorrow and into Monday we might get some heavy rain and some forecasts even mentioning the chance of snow in higher elevations.
Japan doesn't seme to be getting getting a calm, sunny and warm Golden Week this year!
