I thought I would bring you some good news this morning and that is that the slopes have a nice white covering this morning. After the very slight dusting of snowfall we saw on Friday morning, it's wet snow falling down in town this morning but on the mountain some nice big flakes of snow have been falling. While there's not a huge amount as yet, the forecast for the day is snow along with strong winds. Over the next few days into the middle of the week we can expect some more snowy conditions down to town as well, so hopefully come the middle of the week there will be some tasty news to share.

Fingers crossed that lifts might be able to open up on planned dates. Grand Hirafu and Annupuri resort areas plan to open on Friday 23rd December.

Planned opening dates:

23rd November

Niseko Grand Hirafu

Niseko Annupuri

1st December

Niseko Village

8th December

Hanazono

All snowfall data presented on this page is the snowfall measured and observed at base/town level by our reporter based in Kutchan/Niseko. The 'new snowfall' number represents the amount of snow measured since the previous report. All opinions are those of the individual reporters. Information regarding ski area operations is manually checked every morning and is believed to be correct at the time of the report.
