Snowfall at base this season 27cm

A very good morning to you all.
And yes, it really is a very good morning indeed!
Yesterday morning there was a bit of a dusting of snow following on from more wind and rain, but things cleared up in the morning.
This morning though it's a very different story, with an impressive layer of snow on the ground and very winter-like conditions.
Oh yes.
How much snow? Well, I have made a few measurements this morning ranging from 14cm to 21cm, but my trusted point where I always bring you my numbers from is giving me just under 18cm. Add to that the sprinkling from yesterday means that 18cm is what I am putting on the report this morning. Bet there's a fair bit more higher up too as well.
The forecast is looking very promising too with regular snowfall lined up over the coming week.
So the chances of ski lifts being able to open as planned next Thursday is, I would say, very good!
It's also in my mind that I may well already be into 'daily' report mode now. Daunting. Exciting. But I can't wait! I hope you spend the season with me.
