Independent snow and weather reporting from the Niseko region of Hokkaido

New snowfall at base 20cm
Snowfall at base this season 62cm

Posted on Tuesday 14th November 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Niseko Now report can be found here

The very good pre-season news continues this morning with another 20cm or so of fresh snow (at base) since my last report.

It felt it perhaps feels slightly warmer outside this morning. At the moment it is snowing lightly. Over the next few days we should expect some gradually warming temperatures and some sunshine (particularly tomorrow).

Around Friday it might warm up to around 10C at base and there is currently some heavy rain forecast. That's not going to do our snow any favo(u)rs, of course, but beyond that it should start getting colder again.

We are still over two weeks away from opening. So for the moment we can just enjoy the lovely snow that we have received over the last several days.
