Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 22cm
Snowfall at base this season 271cm
Posted on Sunday 9th February 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Naeba.
Good it is too. Lots of fresh snow. Wind is blowing it around so perhaps the 22cm I can report is a bit low... I am hearing there may be as much as 50cm on the mountain, and nearby Kagura are reporting 60cm.
So a decent amount of fresh snowfall.
Early morning some lifts are on hold due to the windy conditions - just the Number 3 and 5 high speed and Number 4 romance lift are moving. The gondolas might get moving if conditions allow.
It's cold too.
