Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 275cm

Posted on Monday 10th February 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba.

Some lift disruption on a busy Sunday yesterday, but things are calmer this morning.

The sun is out and we have blue skies and some cloud, and it is a cold early morning... with some more snow likely later on today and tonight.

It appears that the top lifts might be on hold early on due to windy conditions up there. Best to check if you are here for the latest.

Interestingly it looks like that despite our snowfall over the last run of days, some snow making machines will be doing their thing today on courses for the event this month. (Perhaps with a view to building up the snow as much as possible before the upcoming warmer conditions due later in the week? <<< Total guess).
