Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 195cm

Posted on Friday 31st January 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Morning from Naeba.

Snow and wind are the headlines for the day.

Wind has been blowing snow around and because of it I can only report 4cm on the ground but I imagine there is more (much more) in places up on the mountain. Varying amounts.

The wind is also affecting the top lift at the moment and indeed it will be closed for the day.

Snowfall due for the day and tonight too. Should be a decent amount of it to report tomorrow if all goes well.
