Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 11cm
Snowfall at base this season 236cm

Posted on Wednesday 2nd January 2019 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba.

After that really fine start to the day yesterday, we're back to snow this morning (since last night) with 11cm on the ground and counting.

It is still snowing now and looks set in for the day and possibly tomorrow too. Great to see regular top-ups - long may they continue (with some periods like yesterday in between please!)

It's keeping rather cold too, so all is good just as long as you wrap up.

From this morning the summit pair lift (Takenoyama) is opening. Hurray.
