10cm of new snow at Kagura this morning and about 5cm here in Naeba. The forecast was for a clearer start but we have a cloudier and foggy start to the day but nothing is falling from the skies. The clouds might clear though and we might get to see the sun. As we expected, quite a mild morning and tomorrow should be more so. Still looking like rain might fall but it will turn into snow and then hopefully snow through well into the week. Even if it does rain lower on the slopes, Kagura will probably escape.

If you are interested in the chance of winning a few lift tickets that are valid at any ski resort in Yuzawa town, may I point you in the direction of this weeks Giveaway on SnowJapan for this season. Yuzawa Town have very kindly provided us with 20 one-day lift tickets, valid until the end of March 2013, to distribute to SnowJapan members. The tickets are valid at any of the ski resorts in Yuzawa town - including Naeba and Kagura.

More details on how you can win two of these can be found here and hopefully it's a good opportunity to get involved in our Forums. This Giveaway will be running until Thursday next week, and after that each week we have lift tickets for other ski resorts around Japan to give to SnowJapan members. Good luck!

Official resort snow depth:

Naeba - 130cm

Kagura - 270cm
