Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 13cm
Snowfall at base this season 91cm

Posted on Tuesday 18th December 2018 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Naeba.

The headline? 13cm of fresh snow on the ground. It was snowing until earlier on this morning but now there are some blue skies up there and the sun is trying to break through.

More sun tomorrow morning perhaps with a chance of snow later in the day. We're keeping an eye on later in the week though when warmer temps are due for the region - we can only hope it doesn't warm up too much around Friday and Saturday.

After that, we should be seeing a return for snow in time for Christmas.

Resort operations remain unchanged for now.
