Independent snow and weather reporting from the Naeba region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 40cm
Snowfall at base this season 819cm

Posted on Tuesday 11th February 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Naeba Now report can be found here.

Morning from Naeba.

It's snowing again/still!

A fresh, soft, and light 40 cm layer was found this morning. However, it's also very windy again, so only four bottom lifts are open: High-Speed Lift 4, High-Speed Lift 5, Pair Lift 4, and High-Speed Lift 3.

Visibility is poor, but the deep powder turns on the black runs off Lift 3 are amazing.

Despite the public holiday, the crowds are still light. Mikuni Pass towards Sarugakyo is closed until 8 PM tonight.

Tomorrow should be calmer and perhaps even sunny.
