The snow has arrived in style!

Strangely, Kagura aren't boasting about 70cm of new snowfall on their page, but that's what it amounts to and doesn't sound unrealistic to me.

Naeba are saying they have had 50-80cm of new snowfall since yesterday and again I can believe that, there has easily been 50cm outside my place here since yesterday. From what I can gather Naeba isn't yet opening up more runs because of the new snow so they are going ahead as planned with the lower No4 and No5 lifts open this morning. Hopefully we can expect that to change fairly soon.

Strong winds are preventing the Tashiro part of Kagura to open today, so it will be closed.

This region really does turn it on in style when it wants to.

It it still snowing and should continue at least into tomorrow.
