Just a little bit of fresh snow overnight, after a pretty mild day.
It wasn’t that warm, but there was a lot of melting on the streets (and splashing of slush on those working alongside, he says knowledgeably). It almost seems like the sun wants to come out at the moment, although it’s full cloudy at the moment.
Today’s highlight is the Yama no Kami (Mountain God) ceremony/event at Akakan at 11am. The resort has made this small local event something for all visitors; come and join on the kampai! toast, and get a little wooden saké masu cup.
