Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 543cm

Posted on Friday 7th January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

It's an interesting day when you get as much snow in the Kubiki Alps — another name for our mountains in Myoko — as in Tokyo. But there you go in a year of good snow and pleasantly cold conditions. At least here (Tokyo is not the best place to be when it snows).

Most of the main lifts are running now, and even where the lifts are down all the runs are operating.
