Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 185cm

Posted on Monday 6th January 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

A colder, nice day in Myoko today.

The sky is about half clear, but it's hasn't been too sunny yet, as it is more cloudy to the north and east. That should keep the nice, light 10cm we got since yesterday good and cold. And light.

Things are changing fast, though, with rain likely returning from tomorrow. Wednesday could be an onsen-soak day....
