Nice snowfall overnight; once again the official Niigata Prefecture prediction was just about right on the money (forecast of 35cm; actual at base 32cm).

It's nice, light snow, too.
Could always use more, of course, and some of the weather shows are saying up to 70cm of additional snow by tomorrow morning.
We’re ready, and I see that a lot of the locals (like your writer) spent some time in the warmer, sunnier days getting old snow out of the way in preparation for the new.
