New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 967cm

We did get a little more snow through the day. While we started out with blue skies and calm winds, the barometer is falling, the sky is clouding up and the wind has really picked up a lot. Clouds of snow flying off the sugi trees, branches in motion. Makes you really feel alive.
Still nice and empty out there on the slopes; some days it seems like there are more guys from the Self-Defense Forces out there on their skinny white skis and leather bindings (and those super-floppy leather boots! Amazing) than recreational skiers.
