Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 41cm
Snowfall at base this season 575cm

Posted on Sunday 29th January 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Lots of new snow, some sun to start the day (although it will probably cloud up with some potential snow later in the day).

It feels very Myoko again, though, with snow walls forming along the roads and the trees well and fully covered with snow. Nice to see lots of resorts reporting around or more than two meters of snowpack.

It's kind of a perfect day, really, cold enough, more than enough snow, nice visibility. Good day to get out and slide. Or, with this much snow, float.
