Lots of snow all through the day, so lots of nice loose stuff out there to get stuck in (go with a friend if you’re going outside the resort!). Exactly the same total as yesterday; I know some may doubt this, but the data is collected using—wait for it—proven scientific methods! I can only report what the snow board and ruler tell me...
But plenty of snow, no doubt about it as we enter the year-end holidays and many more people coming to visit. Lots of tired locals, too, but we’re getting back in the snow-removal rhythm. Fun to wake up to something like an earthquake as snow slides off the roof, shaking the whole house. Been a couple years without that, and lightning and thunder to accompany that heavy snow.
Oh, yeah, ongoing lift problems at both Akakura resorts yesterday. There’s some old equipment out there, no doubt about it, but I hope the mechanics have been out there overnight getting the lifts back in form.
