New snowfall at base 35cm
Snowfall at base this season 759cm

It was quite a day yesterday; too much snow!
A lot of the runs became small, bumpy trails through deep powder (I admire snow sports instructors out there trying to teach!). Others added that it was really scary off the sides of runs, with people getting buried all over the place. No injuries that I’ve heard of yet, but, again, when it’s that deep, going with a partner who can pull you out!
It’s weird to write that we only got 35cm today, especially after yesterday. I hardly believed that number over one meter, but I have a pretty good spot to measure snow depth, one that’s not too prone to drifting snow.... It was enough snow to get my Peter (the local name for monster, 20-horsepower-plus snowthrowers) stuck under the roof. Seems like the mounds of snow I was trying to dislodged unfastened a safety switch cable, so it wouldn’t start, and meters of snow were hanging over the roof, ready to come down. Pretty sketchy, but finally figured it out and got Peter to a safer place.
It’s a war in the heavy snow, people! So much heavy stuff.
