Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata
New snowfall at base 3cm
Snowfall at base this season 828cm
Posted on Saturday 25th January 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
Colder last night, and a tiny touch of fresh snow (which is all little star-like snowflakes, the real shape, and very cohesive. Good snowball snow, but not much of it).
It would be great to have some real snow fall, but we are back into the cycle of the past few years of some snow, then days of sun. I’m glad I'm reporting late today, because it really cleared up a lot, then closed in, and will probably get less cloudy again.
The theme for today: who knows? Good conditions on the slopes, that’s the positive. Still not so great outside the areas.
