New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 1090cm
Posted on Saturday 25th April 2026 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.
I dropped into SnowJapan yesterday, and noticed that most of my fellow Now!ers are still reporting.... but I haven’t got much news, except now! And I almost forgot to report.
Akakan is running the Myoko Sky Cable gondola from now until May 6, with restaurants open at the top. The snow is mostly gone, but it’s really nice out there today, so you might as well get some altitude.
I haven’t heard anything for sure on when Lotte Arai will close, but with some pretty cool temperatures it seems like the snow—which was really disappearing fast—actually is holding up OK. So we can still offer some mountain fun here in Myoko.
