It’s gray and looking like it could rain, so I almost forgot to send you today’s news. Sorry about that; I guess I did enjoy the sun and warmth more than expected yesterday (and did both downhill skiing and a run through the trees on hiking skis with the dog, a nice alternative to lift tickets and crowds).
It may have rained during the night, in fact, and there was a pretty strong southwest wind (as seen by the blue sheet blown off the snowthrower). The snow levels did go down, too, as usually happens when those winds come in (more than sun, more than rain).
Not a lot of good news on the forecast ahead, with sun and rain and warm weather on the menu. Snow? Maybe in early March, it seems.
