More snow and more snow.

Some of the locals and I were trying to remember the last time we had this much snow before Christmas. Normally we have to advise visitors that they should really look to Christmas to be sure and have enough snow for skiing. Not this season—we’re almost at two meters snowpack at several resorts (Lotte doesn’t count).

Early season, though, means some time for everyone to get adjusted to the needs of snow removal, including the town plows. They were heading up the hill around 5am, but kind of got bogged down just below Akakan, delaying drivers and your plow-driving reporter.

Hopefully the delay means we’ll have fresh reports from more of the resorts.
