Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 30cm
Snowfall at base this season 1248cm

Another nice surprise this morning: when elderly dog needed an early morning excursion, she was met with a big drift of snow right outside the door.

We got about 30cm, something the forecasts didn’t catch - only about 10cm was predicted.

Still coming down, too, although lightly.

Another great day on the resorts; a nice reset for the backcountry, too, with some good light snow.
