Another day where we had light snow throughout the day, but not the heavy wind and snow that hit the coast.
It was a perfectly blue sky early this morning, with an orange top of Mt. Myoko right at sunrise, but the clouds have since moved in. It's actually pretty bright and pleasant, though; nice day to be at the resorts.
Still a little sketchy outside the resorts, with some pretty good sluffing reported on steep slopes, and even one small human-triggered slab avalanche reported being set off on rolling slopes on the lower north side of Mt. Maeyama, just in front of Mt. Myoko.
So good to be cautious (nice day to practice those turns on a groomed slope?).
