Independent snow and weather reporting from the Myoko region of Niigata

New snowfall at base 11cm
Snowfall at base this season 823cm

Posted on Saturday 18th January 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Myoko Now report can be found here.

Late report today, after an early one yesterday.

Good day to clean up after all the snow of the past two days; good day to get new info from most of the resorts (you’d think by 10 in the morning they’d all have fresh news up, but one at least still hasn’t posted).

Nice to be late because things have really changed, from a few last, big, star-like flakes falling to increasing sun and blue skies. Powder and bluebird is not a normal combination here! Should be a sunny one tomorrow as well.
