Hello and morning from Madarao.
If you were hoping for a calm and sunny New Year, you will be disappointed. But if you came looking for some lovely powder and mid-winter conditions, no doubt you'll be very happy at the moment (like me).
The snow has continued and it's still coming down. Madarao are reporting 30cm of snow since yesterday morning and I have measured 27cm. The official snow depth, for what that is worth, is now up to 190cm at Madarao and 140cm at the adjoining Tangram Ski Circus.
There seems to be some kind of trouble with the Super Quad lift at Madarao at the start of the day, let's hope they can get that sorted.
More snow due through the day today, maybe some sun shining through tomorrow before a return to snow mid week.
