Good morning from Hakuba and welcome to the start of the long - and likely rather busy - weekend. (Monday is a 'National Foundation Day', kenkoku-kinen-no-hi).
It's a cloudy start to the day and it is keeping cold. Hardly any wind and visibility is generally fine.
Here's the snowfall that a few resorts are reporting:
Hakuba Cortina: 3cm
Hakuba Goryu: 2-5cm
Hakuba 47: 0cm
Hakuba Happo-one: 5cm (top of Riesen lift)
Some fresh snow is due overnight tonight and then in the first part of the week.
