This morning we started with a lot of cloud but around 9am it was beautiful blue skies. It has been clouding over somewhat since then, but there's still blue sky and sunshine. At 11:00am it is

Tsugaike is reporting the most snowfall this morning @ 10cm. Other ski areas reporting up to around 4cm on the slopes.

Hakuba 47 was yesterday afternoon proclaiming, quote, 'the tree-riding is epic & our groomed runs are perfect'. Well, that sounds like conditions couldn't get any better, doesn't it! Personally, and as much fab fun as I enjoyed yesterday, I feel there's a bit of wiggle room for better conditions.

Anyway, enough of the semantics (and marketing messages). It's fun out there, so let's have fun!

Oh yes, remember, the Chinese New Year weekend is coming up. A three day weekend is also coming up. As such, there might be a few people around this weekend... I recommend first runs each morning.
