New snowfall at base 9cm
Snowfall at base this season 354cm
Posted on Sunday 11th February 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Hakuba.
Yesterday we went from nearly clear blue skies to gradually more cloudy conditions and some light snow starting to fall.
And this morning, new cm of fresh snow on the ground! Yey!
See below for the numbers being reported by ski areas, but they're generally ranging from 10-20cm, with Cortina reporting the most up to 25cm. Hopefully we might get a bit more today.
Clearer skies are expected from tomorrow along with those rising temperatures, particularly from Tuesday. The good news on that score is that by Friday temps should be dropping again and all being well there'll be fresh snow too.
Anyway, fresh snow to enjoy this morning. Limited visibility early morning, take special care out there.
