Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 338cm
Posted on Friday 5th February 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Lots of cloud lingering still and light snow falling. And a fresh layer of snow with up to around 20cm being reported by ski areas. Nice.
It was rather windy yesterday and this morning wind also lingers - top areas of Happo-one are closed for the moment. Perhaps it will improve soon allowing them to open.
Things should actually be clearing during the day today and clearer skies with sunshine is expected, with more of that tomorrow too.
Should be very fine conditions this morning.
