New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 444cm
Posted on Wednesday 3rd May 2023 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba 47 have announced that Friday (5th May) will be their last day of the season, rather than Sunday 7th May. They are even saying that they might not make it that long...
Obviously the snow situation is getting increasingly difficult, but poor forecast weather over the coming weekend possibly made the decision easier.
They have done well to keep open this long.
For the record, there has been no such announcement from Tsugaike (yet).
For the next few days, we should enjoy clear skies and quite a lot of sunshine and warmth.
