Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 2cm
Snowfall at base this season 392cm

Posted on Wednesday 28th January 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Lots of cloud around this morning but blue sky to be seen as well and the sun breaking through the clouds in places just now. Feels much colder this morning and the thermometer confirms that.

Slight snowfall on the mountains but generally a bit crusty out there. There's some fun muscle training conditions to be had until we get renewed deep conditions to enjoy in a different way! When will that be? Over the weekend perhaps - it's looking promising.

For now though today looks like it'll be a mix of cloud, sun, maybe light snow showers at times; tomorrow sun is forecast.
