Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 10cm
Snowfall at base this season 99cm

Posted on Sunday 26th December 2021 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

There's fresh snow to report this morning, though I can't hide my disappointment as I was expecting to be able to report more than 10cm. Still, 10cm is always welcome. And there is more due through the next couple of days so hopefully we will get to some bigger numbers soon.

Hakuba Cortina appears to be reporting 18-30cm of snow (base to top) which is a bigger number than anything the others seem to be reporting, so it looks like it is one of those times when the more northern mountains get more snow. That sometimes happens.

It's a cold one too. More snow please.
