Snowfall at base this season 194cm

Good morning from Hakuba.

A fine morning yesterday with lots of blue sky and then increasingly clouding over in the afternoon.

Good to see some snow starting for fall from early this morning with a few cm which should be the start of something good. Kind of feels mild though.

Still, the forecast is looking very positive for some decent snow over the coming days. Let's hope it happens as we could be doing with some deep fresh out there.

This morning the early snow reporting from resorts goes something like this:

Hakuba 47: 5cm

Hakuba Cortina: 1cm

Happo-one: 3cm

Lots of snow, please.

I'll try not to get too excited to eliminate the chance of disappointment, but...
