New snowfall at base 15cm
Snowfall at base this season 385cm
Posted on Tuesday 20th January 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Hakuba.
Lots of fresh snow being reported this morning.
Over 15cm outside my place, but more importantly resorts reporting some nice deep conditions out there.
Poor visibility though with some thick cloud and foggy conditions up there early on... much as it was for lots of yesterday actually. The webcams from around the resorts almost all show... well, not much actually! The mountains are covered in cloud.
Top lifts at Happo-one are going to be delayed but the weather conditions are forecast to improve and it might even get to be sunny later on in the day. With more sun forecast for tomorrow as well and warmer conditions.
We'll have to enjoy those clearings while we can though as it's due to be snowing again on Thursday.
