Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 339cm
Posted on Wednesday 19th January 2022 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
It is a bright and sunny morning here with a lot of blue sky and some white cloud around the mountains. Away from the mountains it's clear blue sky. Beauty of a morning and a very cold start to the day too.
Just a little snowfall being reported by the ski areas (mostly up to 5cm, though Cortina are reporting up to 20cm on their upper areas). We should be getting more tomorrow, don't worry. It's quiet out there. The people lucky to be here should have a good day.
The top Grat quad at Happo-one is still closed, by the way. The 47PARKS at guess where will be closed today as they 'remake it'.
