Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 4cm
Snowfall at base this season 764cm
Posted on Tuesday 18th March 2025 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
As I write this the roads are dry and the sun is out, but I do have some snow to report from yesterday.
Interesting to see Hakuba Cortina reporting as much as 20cm. Others rather less so.
Still, it should be a very fine morning to be out and about on the mountains.
Tomorrow... more snow is expected.
Beyond tomorrow... a higher chance of sunny skies and getting warmer.
There's always going to be 'the last snowfall of the season' (and we'll only know looking back), so I am going to make the most of it all while I still can.
