Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 5cm
Snowfall at base this season 160cm

Posted on Tuesday 17th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

We had some light snow that didn't amount to anything really yesterday, though it started to come down with more conviction later on.

This morning the snowfall numbers are more modest with up to 15cm being reported by ski areas. All welcome!

It is snowing right now with limited visibility in places. It doesn't feel like it is going to ease off anytime soon.
