Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano
New snowfall at base 32cm
Snowfall at base this season 57cm
Posted on Thursday 17th December 2020 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.
Good morning from Hakuba.
Lots of snowfall since my report yesterday and some varying numbers. Happo-one are reporting 25cm from base, a curiously low 15cm from Kurobishi and 41cm on Usagidaira. Hakuba 47 are reporting 30cm. Around that number is what I am seeing too.
The snow clouds remain over the region and we are due more, with a decent amount seemingly on the forecast for tomorrow night.
The Toomi lift at Hakuba Goryu is open this morning and that course down at base there is open as well as all the top area of Goryu. And as I mentioned yesterday, Hakuba 47 plans to be open from tomorrow.
In other news, Kashimayari and Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field will both be opening from tomorrow, Friday 18th December.
Yey!
