ORIGINAL MORNING REPORT:
Hello from Hakuba and I am very pleased to be able to report snowfall.
Happo-one are reporting a very healthy sounding 27cm of snowfall on their upper slopes, with 6cm down at base Nakiyama. Tsugaike Kogen are also adding 27cm to their upper slope numbers.
Very nice!
Down at base I am measuring 8cm. It is still snowing and the forecast remains good for snow through this week.
While I am not hearing of any additional ski area openings just yet, as the snow falls we can expect things to be happening - and quite possibly quite quickly. I'll do my best to keep up with the news, checking and updating information each morning.
