Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 0cm
Snowfall at base this season 97cm

Posted on Friday 13th December 2024 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Light snow yesterday, but it didn't amount to any new cm on the report today.

There should be a good amount to report tomorrow morning, though, if we are lucky. Even though various different forecasts seem to be disagreeing over what to expect. Anyway, I'll let you know.

At Happo-one ski area, the Kokusai Number 1 pair lift is scheduled to be open over the weekend.

And, hey, check out the all-Japan snow depth table, which has now started updating. It's not a competition, of course, but as of the time of me putting this report together (8:45am), Happo-one is up there at Number 1. Here you go:

Top of the pops!
