Visibility Excellent

Posted on Saturday 13th April 2013 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Today is going to be a fine day I predict. Not only with the weather - lovely clear blue skies - but also the fine new layer of snow.

It was good to see some new snow low down at village and the lower slopes white once again, for however short a period of time. The snow down here in village has almost gone from where I am now near Happo and it will quickly disappear from those lower runs as well.... but it's great to see. (Obviously!)

So, what about higher up on those mountains? Well, the only official numbers that I can find so far are from the Hakuba 47 resort, who are reporting 15cm of fresh snow up by R3. Not bad at all! Sounds like a good place to head for this morning.

As I mentioned, nice blue skies and just a few fluffy clouds here and there. Temps will probably rise to around 10 degrees today. Sun again tomorrow along with warmer conditions.
