Independent snow and weather reporting from the Hakuba region of Nagano

New snowfall at base 1cm
Snowfall at base this season 438cm

Posted on Wednesday 11th February 2015 This is an archived report. The latest Hakuba Now report can be found here.

Good morning from Hakuba and after that big delivery of snow to report yesterday morning, not much to add to that this morning.

Though it must be noted that there were huge amounts of fun and excitement had between then and now of course! Conditions should be great this morning too.

Earlier this morning there was quite a bit of blue sky to see, but since then the clouds have taken control of the skies and it's just generally cloudy now over the valley. We are expecting the sun today though as well as mild - slightly warm - conditions later today and tomorrow morning.

Get ready for more cold and more importantly much more snow though... later on in the day tomorrow (night?) into Friday and into Saturday is looking like it might deliver in a big way.

Today is a holiday in Japan - National Foundation Day - so that's why it'll surely be busier than a normal mid weekday.
